Next come some curtains. Since you have decided first on the country kitchen rug, match your curtains to the rug.
Had it been the other way around, you could have taken some of the curtain samples and then go ahead to match the country kitchen rug with it. Anyhow, your curtains could be gingham checks or quilt patterned, patchwork or just plain floral and frilly. To add to the look of the curtains, you could place some jam and jelly jars on the window sill or if that’s not possible, the kitchen shelves.
In some kitchens, people have done away with shutters on their cupboards. Instead of that, they hang curtains to get that extra touch of the country.
